MacNews Category Review: retail management software for the Mac, part III

TakeCharge

[url=http://www.merchantconsulting.com/]TakeCharge[/url] is client/server credit card processing software that can process several terminals through a single server or act as a standalone application. The server may be automated through XML commands sent through an SSL socket connection. TakeCharge also supports recurring and batch transactions as well as generating receipts and reports. All transaction data is securely stored in an encrypted database.

Taxtron

[url=http://www.taxtron.ca/]Taxtron[/url] is Canadian tax software. It has software for the retail and professional tax preparer market and government approved forms. It's bilingual with an interface that reflects tax forms. The tax summary is constantly displayed.

TK CMS

[url=http://www.telekinetix.com/]TK CMS[/url] is a customer management solution.

WebClerk

[url=http://www.webclerk.com/]WebClerk[/url] makes a variety of retail applications.

CommerceClerk is a database program. CommerceExpert is an enterprise sales and operations solution for companies that sell business to business. It's an intranet flow for the selling process: from the marketing effort to the check clearing the bank. It has web support for outside sales representatives and customers.

WebSalesExpert enables outside sales people to work with their own data while on the road.
RetailClerk is an enterprise wide Point-of-Sale and operations solution for companies that sell retail. NetworkSuite for integrating legacy systems with eCommerce, EDI, self-hosting, ASP, Intranet and Internet technologies.

SupplyChainSuite is designed to let you empower your distribution channel to sell using traditional and web-based tools. You can create a flow in your trading community and drive your transaction costs towards zero using common tools and common data.

DataClerk lets you sell and track virtual inventory. MallClerk and SavingMainStreet
are communication technologies. These technologies blend the customer care of your physical stores with web convenience and virtual inventory.

WholeSale Organizer

[url=http://www.sysfak.com/]WholeSale Organizer[/url] is software for managing retail and wholesale businesses. This POS enables the user to process retail and wholesale at the same time. A click will switch the user to a new screen. WholeSale Organizer can be plugged to a scanner. It enables the user to generate labels with barcodes, to print packing slip and will calculate freight fee (DHL - UPS-USPS).

Winery Pro

It manages customers, invoicing, email, direct mail and user defined marketing events. Data can browsed, printed, imported, exported and more. Users can perform advanced data base searching and sorting within the functionality of FileMaker Pro.

Xpert Accounts

[url=http://www.mac-pos.com/]Xpert Accounts[/url] is an accounting system module fully integrated into XpertMart. There are versions for credit card processing, POS, eBay auctions, pharmacies and clothing, shoes, sporting goods, jewelry and accessory stores.

Xsilva LightSpeed 2

[url=http://www.xsilva.com/]Xsilva LightSpeed 2[/url] is a point-of-sale system for Mac that offers retail stores retail tools in an iTunes-like Browser, and a "floating" POS interface. LightSpeed's integrated Web Store module (sold separately) can help stores take their product catalog online and download orders right back into LightSpeed. All of this functionality is built on a multi-user database that will scale.
