It was smaller than anticipated, and was more durable than expected. To hold your mobile device in place, the StandHear has sticky rubber ridges that do a good job when going over bumps and such. My iPod touch stayed in place very well (I have a covering on it that might detract from or improve the StandHear’s tackiness though). It has a built in splitter, so two people can enjoy the fun.

I’m not sure how useful this product would be in a car ride though. Agent 18 claims you can watch movies or listen to music without using your hands, but I still find it easier to just hold my touch while in the car. I have found the StandHear very useful in lecture (don’t tell my professors though). I would imagine that this product would shine during a plane ride. It seems perfectly suited for the air.

Even though this product does what it says it can do, I am giving it a Macsimum rating of 6 out of 10. This is because of the lack of versatility and usefulness, in my opinion. It has a narrow range, but if you fall in that range it will be perfect for you. So if you fly often with friends then grab yourself one of these and enjoy the ride.
