Earbuds' main advantage over traditional headphones is they are compact. Wrap it around your iPod and you are good to go. Many times they are inexpensive, which makes them perfect for environments in which they can get wet or damaged, like your gym bag. The sound quality was significantly better because they finally fit right! I break so many earbuds because they slip out of my ear and then get caught on something. Almost a month of using the Yurbuds and not one incident! Another bonus was that I keep the volume lower on my iPod because I was able to block out more external sound.
