Macworld opens with lots of new product announcements

° Ciprico Inc. (Booth# W-4336): Ciprico will launch the MediaVault 5166 Solution for Mac OS X. It lets you enhance video production and content-creation projects.

° Digital Lifestyle Outfitters (Booth# S-732): DLO will roll out the HomeDock Deluxe 3.0 with on-TV navigation for iPod. The graphical interface allows users to navigate and enjoy iPod content on their TV screen. The product now features high-definition component video output and digital audio for the ultimate home theater iPod experience.

° DisplayLink (Booth# W-4238): DisplayLink is introducing its USB network display technology for Mac OS X that will allow Mac users to connect additional displays using USB. For users of Intel-based Mac mini, iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook and Mac Pro, this marks the first time they can expand their workspace with two or more displays using the "plug & display" of USB, according to the folks at DisplayLink.

° Gridlock, LLC (Booth# S-1338): Gridlock LLC is introducing “tooble,” new software that enables users to put any YouTube video onto their iPod, iPhone or Apple TV automatically. Tooble was developed by high school students from Cheshire Academy in Connecticut as part of a course for advanced computer science students. The Mac version of the software will be available for free at Gridlock’s booth.

° IntelliScanner SOHO (Booth# S-437): IntelliScanner is launching IntelliScanner SOHO, a portable barcode scanner. With it you can scan the barcode to organize assets, inventory, media and more. IntelliScanner SOHO works with included software or third-party applications like FileMaker Pro, Bento, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and MYOB.

° mDialog (Booth# W-4540): mDialog.com is a new online video platform that enables users to upload and deliver h.264 video to the Mac, iPhone, iPod or Apple TV through its mLoader application, which encodes and uploads videos. mDialog includes features such as narrowcasting to invited audiences, broadcasting to the public at large and a pay-per-download model to help filmmakers monetize their work.

° NEC Display Solutions (Booth# S-2438): NEC is announcing the availability of the 30-inch MultiSync LCD3090WQXi wide-screen display, which delivers technology for high-end workers in the medical, graphics, financial, pre-production film and broadcast industries.

° Nova Media (Booth# S-1338): Nova Media is announcing the release of Fone2Phone for Mac OS X. Fone2Phone is a utility for new iPhone users that will copy data from an ordinary cell phone to a Mac in one streamlined operation.

° Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (Booth# S-1237): Samsung is introducing XL30, the world’s first 30-inch LED backlit monitor.

° Stellar Information Systems Ltd (Booth# W-4629): Stellar is introducing a new Phoenix iPod Recovery System designed to recover music files, video files, podcasts, audiobooks and other inaccessible media from frozen or damaged equipment. The recovery system is compatible with all generations of the iPod.
