Monkeybread Software has released version 10.1 of the MBS plug-in for REALbasic. The MBS plug-in comprises a collection of several plug-in parts which extend the REALbasic development environment with 1,300 classes featuring over 28,000 documented functions.
In this release Monkeybread updated libraries to new versions: CURL 7.20.0, RegEx to 8.0.1, DynaPDF 2.5.0.504 and sqlapi 3.7.30. The DynaPDF 2.5 update offers improved font support.
The plug-in for Image Capture on Mac OS X has been rewritten; you can import pictures from a digital camera or a scanner using this plug-in. Also, the DNS Service plug-in part that offers Bonjour network discovery now purportedly works much better on Mac OS X and Windows. Finally, the AppleRemoteMBS class now handles the new aluminum remotes better.
The plug-ins require REALbasic 2006r4 or newer. Licenses are available for components or for the complete collection, with prices starting at US$29 for one component. The complete package costs $284.20 for commercial usage.
