The Final Cut Pro User Group Network says a record number of people attended the recent Ninth Annual San Francisco SuperMeet (http://www.supermeet.com) held on Feb. 5, 2010, at the Mission Bay Conference Center, UCSF.

“Historically, every SuperMeet we produce sells out, but this one exceeded all of our expectations,” says Michael Horton, SuperMeet Co-Producer and head of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group. “We estimate over 750 digital filmmakers attended, it was a complete sell out with many standing in the aisles.”

“This San Francisco SuperMeet also marked three milestones for us,” adds Daniel Berube, SuperMeet Co-Producer and head of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group. “We held our first series of free educational workshops during the day, we had a record number of hardware and software developers exhibiting their solutions with us and we made our first live video stream of a SuperMeet available to the public.”

The next SuperMeet, the Ninth Annual Las Vegas SuperMeet, will be held Tuesday, April 13, at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas along side the 2010 NAB Show. Tickets to the SuperMeet will go on sale Thursday, Feb. 18.
