The GeForce Go 7950 GTX's features include "rapid performance" driver updates direct from Nvidia, support DirectX 9.0 technology and GPU acceleration of HD video formats like H.264. The GPU also touts PureVideo and PoewerMizer technologies.
PureVideo HD combines hardware acceleration from an Nvidia graphics processing unit, high definition movie player integration and HDCP feature support to "make it easy for manufacturers and consumers to build powerhouse PCs that can play HD DVD or Blu-ray movies," Nvidia says. As a result, consumers will, at least in theory, be able to enjoy high- definition movie experiences on their computers. And there certainly appears to be a market for this. PowerMizer technology offers advanced power management features.
