Pearson announces iPhone Developers Conference

On April 24-25, Pearson will host the second "Voices That Matter: iPhone Developers Conference," at Seattle’s Bell Harbor Int’l Conference Center. Authors and experts will join developers to share their knowledge, and participate in discussions, how-to sessions, and networking opportunities around the topic of application development.

What's more, the new iPad will be an integral part of conference activities. The conference is designed for: iPhone and iPad developers; long-time Mac developers wanting to leverage their existing skills; GUI designers; UX experts; and mobile application specialists.

Speakers include Addison-Wesley authors Erica Sadun, "The iPhone Developer’s Cookbook, Second Edition"; Kevin Avila, "Core Audio" (publishing in November); Joe Conway, "iPhone Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide; Erik Buck, Cocoa Design Patterns"; Aaron Hillegass, "Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X"; Mike Daley, "Learning iPhone Game Programming" (Rough Cut); Suzanne Ginsburg, "Designing the iPhone User Experience" (publishing in July), and August Trometer, "Optimizing Your Website for Mobile Safari" (Digital Shortcut).

Topics covered will include "Deciphering iPad UI conventions," "Killer user interfaces for iPhone OS devices," "Core animation," "Game programming," "Memory management," "Xcode," and more. Attendees can register now and save $200 with early bird pricing available through March 12 at http://www.voicesthatmatter.com/iphone2010/register.aspx .
