Ricoh rolls out new color printers

The GX2500 is the first in the line of Ricoh GelSprinter products that's specifically designed for workgroups of up to three users. The GX2500 produces documents at 28 pages per minute (ppm) in both color and black and white using an enhanced viscous ink formulation. Vivid color documents are made possible by GelSprinter technology, which is not only waterproof and fade resistant, it also averts any smearing and bleed-through, according to Ron Potesky of Ricoh.

He adds that the GX2500 offers cost effective features, including Level Color Mode. With the Level Color Mode, businesses reduce the cost-per-page utilizing less ink to produce high quality images and graphics, while maintaining legible text, Poteskyk says.

The GX7000 boasts a 250-sheet tray, with an optional 250 sheet PFU and 100-sheet Multi-Bypass Tray capable of handling a variety of paper stocks and sizes. Network connectivity is enabled, allowing businesses to connect and monitor multiple machines from one central location. In addition, the GX7000 meets Energy Star guidelines and offers several power saving functions including sleep mode and combine copy modes.

The GX Series of products uses high-yield viscous ink cartridges that are compatible across the entire line of GelSprinter products.
