ADATA releases the AI910 Lightning Card Reader Plus

ADATA Technology’s (www.adata.com) AI910 Lightning Card Reader Plus features SD and Micro SD slots with support for up to 256GB capacity, it’s a “three-way” device, allowing users to backup, read, and share content across iOS, Android, and Windows.

Waves Audio (www.waves.com) is shipping the $39 Waves Electric 88 piano, a plug-in and standalone virtual instrument. In creating the Electric 88 piano, Waves sampled a “road-worn” electric piano, carefully capturing the non-linearity of the individual keys.

Electric 88 gives you the tools to create a variety of diverse sounds. MG announces the Novi, a Multi-Device Portable charging station

MG has launched its $285 Novi Portable Charging Station (http://www.mm-goi.com/). The new device utilizes LunaPulse technology to charge up to eight portable battery pods in 2.5 hours.

The Novi Portable Charging Station consists of the Novi Dock and portable Novi Pods. The Novi Dock is powered by an internal AC adapter with a removable 2-prong cable that can be retrofitted for use in any country. Each dock can hold up to eight pods. MG's LunaPulse Technology means that the Novi Dock charges each one of the Novi Pods on contact, without the need for any additional cables.

Charging is conducted at high speeds, and each portable battery fully charges a phone of the same batter size in only 1.5 hours. Once charged, each lightweight pod can be removed and taken anywhere consumers need to charge their mobile device.

AppDelete Lite for Mac OS X revved to version 4.2.7

Reggie Ashworth (http://www.reggieashworth.com/appdeletelite) has announced AppDelete Lite 4.2.7, an update to his Mac deletion utility.

Via drag and drop, AppDelete Lite will uninstall anything along with all of the associated items. Version 4.2.7 improves the search algorithm to handle special cases.

Malware infections drop dramatically in the first half of 2016

Malware infections in the United States have dropped 47.3% in the first six months of 2016, according to data released today by Enigma Software Group (www.enigmasoftware.com). However, Enigma warns that computer users should not be lulled into complacency.

The experts at Enigma analyzed infection reports generated by all of the computers in the U.S. that have Enigma's SpyHunter installed and running on them. Looking at more than 30 million infections in the last 18 months, Enigma found that the average number of monthly infections in the first six months of 2016 was 47.3% lower than the average number of monthly infections from all of 2015. In fact, June 2016 had the lowest number of overall infections of any month dating back to April 2013.

Simply define the exact date when to send the email, and MailButler will make sure that your email arrives just in time. Working late? Whisply file transfer service integrates with Boxcryptor

Secomba, the developer of the cloud encryption solution Boxcryptor (www.boxcryptor.com), has debuted Whisply, a web-based file transfer service that allows you to send files end-to-end-encrypted out of Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive. Melee 3.5 for OS X adds text boxes, enhances image options

RedleX has revved Mellel (http://www.mellel.com), its word processor for Mac OS X (10.6 and higher), to version 3.5. It provides a set of features allowing anyone to control how their document looks, including page, section, paragraph, and character styles, auto-titles, lists, footnotes, endnotes and more. Deliver Express now supports Microsoft Exchange Mail Servers

Zevrix Solutions has announced Deliver Express 2.5.13, a feature update its file transfer app that automatically sends files across the Internet and locally from watched hot folders with email notifications.

The utility can serve unlimited users on a network and supports FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3, WebDAV, Google Storage and other services. Version 2.5.13 lets users send automatic email delivery notifications via Microsoft Exchange SMTP servers.

Deliver Express can be purchased from the Zevrix website (www.zevrix.com). The license prices are based on the maximum number of allowed destinations and range from $29.95 to $299.95. Encryptor Plug-in 3.5 for FileMaker Pro 15 released

Troi Automatisering has released Troi Encryptor Plug-in 3.5 for FileMaker Pro 15. It’s an update of the tool for securing your FileMaker data, exporting or emailing your data without risk and importing safely back into FileMaker. Version 3.5 is compatible with FileMaker Pro 16.

National Organ Donor registration comes to the iPhone

Apple and Donate Life America have announced that, for the first time ever, iPhone users will be able to sign up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor right from the Health app with the release of iOS 10 this fall.

Through a simple sign-up process, iPhone users can learn more and take action with just a few taps. All registrations submitted from iPhone are sent directly to the National Donate Life Registry managed by Donate Life America.

On average, one person dies every hour in the United States waiting for an organ transplant because the demand for lifesaving transplants far exceeds the available supply of organs — and one donor can save as many as eight lives, according to David Fleming, President & CEO of Donate Life America.

Cirrus Logic releases MFi Headset Development Kit

Cirrus Logic has released its MFi Headset Development Kit, a reference platform that is designed to help original equipment manufacturers quickly develop new Lightning-based digital headsets. It provides a complete high-performance, digital-headset solution and a reference iOS application to support the rapid development of these emerging consumer products, according to Carl Alberty, vice president of Audio Products Marketing, Cirrus Logic.

“The MFi Headset Development Kit demonstrates the advantages of Lightning-connected headsets over conventional analog headsets,” he adds. “For example, digital connectivity with an integrated, high-performance DAC and headphone driver delivers high-fidelity audio to the headphone speakers.
