Output Factory Server for Adobe InDesign now supports El Capitan

Zevrix Solutions has announced Output Factory Server 1.2.3, a compatibility update to its output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign.

Output Factory Server automates printing and exporting from InDesign by processing files from hot folders. The software offloads output tasks to a central system leaving operator workstations free from the output process. The new version makes Output Factory Server compatible with the recently released Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan.

MetalGL now supports OS X for low-latency OpenGL ES rendering...

The Brenwill Workshop announced that they’ve added support for OS X to their MetalGL product, which brings the performance of Metal to OpenGL ES games and applications on iOS, and now OS X.

Red Giant releases Trapcode Suite 13

Red Giant has released Trapcode Suite 13, an upgrade to its set of tools for creating motion graphics and visual effects in Adobe After Effects.

In addition to major updates to Trapcode Particular, Shine and Mir, the release introduces Trapcode Tao, a new plugin for generating 3D geometries along a path. The update also includes new features in Trapcode Form, Sound Keys and Starglow.

Trapcode Particular’s new Effects Builder lets artists drag and drop blocks of particle behaviors and styles, and includes a built-in instant preview window for immediate feedback. In addition to the library of Sprites, users can choose from more than 130 new presets to help kick off any project. Primera Disc Publishers now burn Blu-ray Discs at triple the...

Primera Technology has rolled out Version 2.2.1 of its PT Publisher disc burning software. This new version has a number of updates included.

Most significant is the improved burn time for Blu-ray Disc (BD-R) media. In previous versions, burning a full 25 GB BD-R took about 33 minutes. With version 2.2.1, burning a full 25 GB BD-R disc takes about 11 minutes – about three times as fast, says Mark D. Strobel, Primera’s vice president of Sales and Marketing.

QuickerTek has announced their new UCard product line upgrades that add 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability to Unibody MacBooks. There are three models to match each of the differing physical profiles of the Unibody Macbook Pro, including the non-retina Pro's.

PDF Checkpoint now supports El Capitan

Zevrix Solutions has announced PDF Checkpoint 1.7.13, a compatibility update to its PDF preflight and conversion solution.

The app automatically preflights, exports as images, splits and optimizes Adobe PDF files. The software can also convert the color of PDF elements to specific ICC profile. For example, users can convert RGB PDF files to CMYK.PDF Checkpoint 1.7.13 makes PDF Checkpoint compatible with the OS X El Capitan.

Georgia’s Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU), working with Digital Insight, an NCR company, has launched Apple Watch app functionality to further enhance and provide more mobile banking application options.

“We are excited to begin offering services for the Smartwatch, which is the latest addition in our availability of state-of-the-art technologies to benefit our members,” says Jim Norris, President and CEO of MC EFCU. “MC EFCU’s iPhone App, for example, is one of the highest rated mobile banking apps among credit unions in Maryland. Paragon Software announces storage SDKs for iOS, Android

Paragon Software Group ( has released its UFSD software development kits for iOS and Android. They’re designed to make it easier to develop apps that take advantage of USB storage.

Available for iOS (iPhone 5 and later, iPad 2 and later) and Android (version 3.0 and later), they SDKs abstract and implement support for multiple partitioning schemes (MBR, GPT and APM) and file systems (NTFS, HFS+, FAT32, ExFAT and ExtFS). They’ll be of particular interest to storage vendors, as they can bundle Paragon’s UMS service and other Paragon FS drivers with portable USB storage products to ensure compatibility and interoperability with operating systems such as iOS, Android, Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows.
