Fujitsu launches ScanSnap Sync

Fujitsu ( has introduced ScanSnap Sync, which is designed to easier than ever for ScanSnap scanner customers to access and manage their scanned documents across multiple devices.

When scanning to an iOS or Android mobile device with the “ScanSnap Connect” app or launching ScanSnap Organizer on a Mac or PC documents are automatically synchronized with supported cloud services, utilizing the ScanSnap Sync application. Customers can then make edits to the documents and those changes are synchronized back to the mobile device when stored in the preconfigured ScanSnap Sync folder.

ScanSnap Sync is available now, via a free online update, and is compatible with the entire ScanSnap scanner lineup, including the ScanSnap iX500, iX100, SV600, S1300i and S1100i.

XcodeGhost still haunting ‘dozens’ of Apple mobile apps

Dozens of U.S. enterprises are still using Apple mobile apps seeded with malware for a clever hacking scheme revealed last month known as XcodeGhost.

The computer security firm FireEye said it detected that 210 enterprises that are still using infected apps, showing that the XcodeGhost malware "is a persistent security risk," according to Last month, more than 4,000 applications were found to have been modified with a counterfeit version of Xcode, an application development tool from Apple. The malicious version, dubbed XcodeGhost, adds hidden code to apps, which can collect identifying information about a device or even open URLs.

In October Apple issued a statement in response to the XcodeGhost, saying that it has removed all infected apps it is aware of from the App Store and is working with developers to ensure they are using a legitimate version of Xcode.

TapCommerce is a new mobile SMB solution

TapPublisher has launched TapCommerce, a mobile e-commerce solution for SMB and local businesses aimed to help them grow their sales and build customer loyalty.

It’s an app editor for creating native iPhone apps using a powerful drag-and-drop builder tool. TapPublisher uses 100 percent native iOS API [application programming interface] and Objective-C, says Frederic Aloe, co-founder and CEO.

Users create their app using a tool based on drag and drop. Sound Siphon 2.0.2 brings Free Public API for Mac Audio Capture

CS Odessa adds solution for creating SIPOC diagrams

CS Odessa has announced the availability of a new Business Process Mapping solution in the ConceptDraw Solution Park.

The solution, based on ConceptDraw Pro’s vector drawing features, allows you to build diagrams and is available for $25 to current owners of ConceptDraw Pro 10. Apple releases new developer betas of OS X 10.11.2, iOS 9.2, tvOS

Apple has made available betas of Mac OS X 10.11.2, iOS 9.2, and tvOS 9.1 to developers. tvOS is only compatible with the new fourth-generation Apple TV with Siri Remote. (By the way, Apple is again warning that devices running iOS 9.2 can’t be restored to earlier versions of iOS.)

Package Central for Adobe InDesign now supports El Capitan

Zevrix Solutions has announced Package Central 1.9.3, a compatibility update to its document packaging automation solution for Adobe InDesign.

The software automates InDesign document collection by processing files from hot folders. Package Central offloads file packaging to a central system leaving operator workstations free from the collection process. The new version adds support for the recently released Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan.

Mosaiscope launches news aggregation platform

Mosaiscope has launched its web-based platform, which allows news to be extracted from both sources and topics pre-selected by the user, as well as being able to add their own sources.

Flexera Software App Portal adds Mac support

PopChar X 7.3 supports skin tone variants in Apple Color Emoji

Paragon NTFS for Mac 14 revved for El Capitan

Paragon Software Group has released Paragon NTFS for Mac 14. an upgrade of the solution to solve incompatibility issues between Mac OS X and Windows.
The new update helps overcome the functional limitations of the latest version of OS X Disk Utility in El Capitan, according to the folks at Paragon Software. Earlier versions of OS X allowed to easily format volumes in Disk Utility by implementing third-party file system drivers, but these functions are no longer available in El Capitan.

Apple asks Supreme Court to dismiss ebook antitrust lawsuit

Apple has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn an appellate court decision that found the company conspired with five publishers to increase e-book prices, reports Reuters ( The Cupertino, California-based company wants the high court to review a June ruling that favored the U.S. Department of Justice, and found the company liable for engaging in a conspiracy that violated federal antitrust laws.

Reuters reports that Apple, in its petition, said the June decision by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York contradicted Supreme Court precedent and would "chill innovation and risk taking.” "The Second Circuit's decision will harm competition and the national economy," Apple wrote.

Apple’s iPhone has 14 percent worldwide marketshare

According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics (, global smartphone shipments grew 10 percent annually to reach 354 million units in the third quarter of 2015. Samsung grew its smartphone shipments six percent and finally returned to positive growth for the first time in over a year.

Global smartphone shipments grew just 10 percent annually from 323.4 million units in the third quarter (Q3) 2014 to 354.2 million in Q3 2015, according to the research. This quarter was the smartphone industry's slowest growth rate for six years, since the depths of the global economic recession back in 2009. Smartphone growth is slowing due to increasing penetration maturity in major markets of the US, Europe and China.
