Tension Software announces DMG Master 2.5.1 for OS X

Tension Software (www.tensionsoftware.com) has released DMG Master 2.5.1 for Mac OS X. It’s a maintenance upgrade.

It’s a document based application for creating standard Disk Image Archive with just one click. Disk Image Archive is the universal standard on OS X and is recognized by any Mac. Disk Image Archive (.dmg) files can be opened on any Mac without any software.

DMG Master 2.5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.10 or higher. It costs $6.99.

Apple announces posted quarterly revenue of $50.6 billion

Apple has announced financial results for its fiscal 2016 second quarter that ended March 26. The company posted quarterly revenue of $50.6 billion and quarterly net income of $10.5 billion, or $1.90 per diluted share.

These results compare to revenue of $58 billion and net income of $13.6 billion, or $2.33 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 39.4% compared to 40.8% in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 67%
of the quarter’s revenue.

“Our team executed extremely well in the face of strong macroeconomic headwinds,” said CEO Tim Cook. “We are very happy with the continued strong growth in revenue from Services, thanks to the incredible strength of the Apple ecosystem and our growing base of over one billion active devices.”

Satechi has released the Aluminum Mini Docking Station, a compact hub that connects to Mac via USB and expands its functionality by offering four USB 3.0 ports, a gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI and DVI video connections, and a 3.5mm port.

The Aluminum Mini Docking Station allows users to use one centralized docking station to connect multiple peripherals and devices. The docking station features four high-speed USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port for 4K video output or multiple video out ports to use a computer with multiple monitors at high-speed. PDFpen 8 Features Digital Signatures, File & Audio...

Smile has released PDFpen 8, the latest version of its all-purpose PDF editing tool for the Mac. The upgrade features support for digital signatures, file attachments, and, in PDFpenPro, portfolio creation.

PDFpen and PDFpenPro 8 now enable the application of digital signatures, as well as validation of digitally signed documents. This signing option adds to PDFpen 7’s current signing options, which include interactive signature fields, pasting scanned signatures, and a scribble tool.

PDFpenPro and PDFpen 8 work with PDFpen for iPad and iPhone version 2, allowing editing across devices when used with Dropbox storage or iCloud Drive. iCloud storage is available when PDFpen is purchased via the Mac App Store.

Seagate Technology is now shipping in volume its 10TB helium enterprise drives— the Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD. Tension Software has updated Geo WPS for Mac OS X (10.10 or higher) to version 1.1.1. It’s software that allows you to track your geographic position using OS X wi-fi geo-tracking and other available hardware inside and connected to your Mac to detect your coordinate in the best precise way via Apple core location. Chris Li has announced Maxel 2.0.2, an update to his download accelerator for Mac OS X.

LinkOptimizer for OS X gets improved image processing, more

Zevrix Solutions (www.zevrix.com) has announced LinkOptimizer 4.9.57, a maintenance update to its workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign.

The software allows users to reduce the size of InDesign links and speed up processing by automatically eliminating excess image data, performing essential image adjustments and converting colors and file formats. Version 4.9.57 improves the processing of images placed in InDesign document multiple times, and introduces other performance and stability improvements.

Jumsoft has introduced Infographics for Pages 2.7, an upgrade of its design app for Pages for OS X. Adapted from one of the company’s visualization tools, Infographics for Page offers over 2,000 diagrams, maps, and other visualization elements.
