Whisply file transfer service integrates with Boxcryptor

Secomba, the developer of the cloud encryption solution Boxcryptor (www.boxcryptor.com), has debuted Whisply, a web-based file transfer service that allows you to send files end-to-end-encrypted out of Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive. Also, Boxcryptor for Mac OS X and Windows has been upgraded with new features, including Whisply integration.

Starting now, files can be sent out of Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive — even to receivers who neither use Boxcryptor nor a cloud storage provider. Since Wispily is a web-based service, there’s no need to download software; files are sent from your browser, protected with AES-256 encryption. Melee 3.5 for OS X adds text boxes, enhances image options

RedleX has revved Mellel (http://www.mellel.com), its word processor for Mac OS X (10.6 and higher), to version 3.5. It provides a set of features allowing anyone to control how their document looks, including page, section, paragraph, and character styles, auto-titles, lists, footnotes, endnotes and more. Version 3.5 introduces text boxes, key improvements to image handling and smart-snap options for easy layout of items in a document.

Server Ranger 1.0 Released for OS X

LibertyApp has introduced Server Ranger 1.0 (http://www.serverranger.com), a website and server monitoring solution for OS X. It scales to monitor the performance and uptime of any number of servers, as well as any type of server, including web, mail, file, routers and more.

Server Ranger can send multiple alerts when a server's latency is unacceptable or if the server has gone offline. The app includes an Overview window, a Log window with timestamps and export capability, a detailed view and more.

Deliver Express now supports Microsoft Exchange Mail Servers

Zevrix Solutions has announced Deliver Express 2.5.13, a feature update its file transfer app that automatically sends files across the Internet and locally from watched hot folders with email notifications.

The utility can serve unlimited users on a network and supports FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3, WebDAV, Google Storage and other services. Version 2.5.13 lets users send automatic email delivery notifications via Microsoft Exchange SMTP servers.

Deliver Express can be purchased from the Zevrix website (www.zevrix.com). The license prices are based on the maximum number of allowed destinations and range from $29.95 to $299.95. BBEdit 11.6 adds built-in Kite support

Bare Bones Software (www.barebones.com) has released BBEdit 11.6, an update to its text and code editor. It’s the first professional text editor to introduce built-in support for Kite, an "artificial pair programmer" that assesses code as one edits. Encryptor Plug-in 3.5 for FileMaker Pro 15 released

Troi Automatisering has released Troi Encryptor Plug-in 3.5 for FileMaker Pro 15. It’s an update of the tool for securing your FileMaker data, exporting or emailing your data without risk and importing safely back into FileMaker. Version 3.5 is compatible with FileMaker Pro 16.

A fully functional demo version is available for downloading at Troi's website (http://tinyurl.com/z2heuv3). Troi Encryptor Plug-in 3.5 works with FileMaker Pro 12 to 15. National Organ Donor registration comes to the iPhone

Apple and Donate Life America have announced that, for the first time ever, iPhone users will be able to sign up to be an organ, eye and tissue donor right from the Health app with the release of iOS 10 this fall.

Through a simple sign-up process, iPhone users can learn more and take action with just a few taps. All registrations submitted from iPhone are sent directly to the National Donate Life Registry managed by Donate Life America.

On average, one person dies every hour in the United States waiting for an organ transplant because the demand for lifesaving transplants far exceeds the available supply of organs — and one donor can save as many as eight lives, according to David Fleming, President & CEO of Donate Life America.

AKVIS releases the Spain Frame Pack

AKVIS (www.akvis.com) has released the Spain Frame Pack for AKVIS Frames and AKVIS ArtSuite. It includes 80 hand-painted frame: 40 horizontal and 40 vertical templates.

Nektony has announced Funter 2.0, a tool designed specifically to hide and view hidden files and folders on Mac. It provides the ability to switch a file or folder's visibility in two clicks, making them hidden or unhidden.

Tension Software updates Menu Calendar for OS X to version 1.1

Tension Software (www.tensionsoftware.com) has updated Menu Calendar for OS X to version 1.1. The app makes available under the menu bar, in any Mac app you’re running, a small calendar.

Clicking Menu Calendar’s icon not only shows a small standard calendar that you can use to navigate inside any month, it also makes available a small area under the calendar for date calculation. Cirrus Logic releases MFi Headset Development Kit

Cirrus Logic has released its MFi Headset Development Kit, a reference platform that is designed to help original equipment manufacturers quickly develop new Lightning-based digital headsets. It provides a complete high-performance, digital-headset solution and a reference iOS application to support the rapid development of these emerging consumer products, according to Carl Alberty, vice president of Audio Products Marketing, Cirrus Logic.

“The MFi Headset Development Kit demonstrates the advantages of Lightning-connected headsets over conventional analog headsets,” he adds. “For example, digital connectivity with an integrated, high-performance DAC and headphone driver delivers high-fidelity audio to the headphone speakers. KeyCue 8.1 integrates with Typinator

Ergonis Software (www.ergonis.com) has rolled out KeyCue 8.1, an update of their keyboard shortcut cheat sheet. The upgrade integrates with Typinator, and allows Typinator users to quickly show snippets in a head-up display and insert them with a click.

AKVIS launches new plug-in for After Effects, Premiere Pro

Red Giant Universe expands with upgrades

Red Giant has launched Red Giant Universe 2.0, an update to the company’s GPU-accelerated plugins for editors and motion graphics artists. UCedge Softphone brings unified communications, mobility to OS X

Toshiba America Information Systems’ Telecommunication Systems Division has announced the availability of its new built-in softphone as part of an update to its UCedge client software available for Mac OS X.

Toshiba's UCedge softphone gives Mac users the ability to use their devices as extensions on their VIPedge, IPedge or Hybrid Cloud business communications solution. Using the softphone enhances the UC benefits, including presence and instant messaging with both internal and external organizations, said Brian Metherell, vice president and general manager of Toshiba’sTelecommunication Systems Division.
