Boris FX releases Boris Continuum Complete 10 for Avid

Boris FX has announced Boris Continuum Complete 10, brand new plug-in tools designed for Avid Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter.

Mosaiscope launches news aggregation platform

Mosaiscope has launched its web-based platform, which allows news to be extracted from both sources and topics pre-selected by the user, as well as being able to add their own sources.

Founded by an early Tesla Motors employee, John Rokos, it’s the first product born from Enemy Tree, a Silicon Valley-based technology company. Mosaiscope allows consumers “to keep up with news and interests in an innovatively designed, user friendly, and constantly updating platform that ensures all the latest topics and sources, along with the most cutting edge and useful tools available, all working together to create a seamless experience,” says Rokos.

Flexera Software App Portal adds Mac support

PopChar X 7.3 supports skin tone variants in Apple Color Emoji

Ergonis Software has announced PopChar X 7.3, an improved version of the tool for finding and inserting special characters and exploring fonts.

With PopChar, thousands of special characters are only a few clicks away. Version 7.3 allows you to select skin tone variants of all applicable symbols of the Apple Color Emoji font. It  improves the organization of Unicode blocks and fixes a few user-reported issues and improves compatibility with El Capitan.

Zevrix Solutions has announced ArtOptimizer 2.7.8, a compatibility update to its workflow automation solution for Adobe Illustrator.

Sony Creative Software has announced the availability of Vegas Pro 13 Edit at Steam, the online game platform.

SoftRAID version 5.1 supports Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

OWC Holdings has released SoftRAID 5.1 (, an update to the disk driver for OS X that replaces the RAID functionality that was removed from Disk Utility in El Capitan.

Version 5.1 supports the enhanced security mechanisms in Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. It’s a free update for all version 5.x users of SoftRAID.

Paragon NTFS for Mac 14 revved for El Capitan

Paragon Software Group has released Paragon NTFS for Mac 14. an upgrade of the solution to solve incompatibility issues between Mac OS X and Windows.
The new update helps overcome the functional limitations of the latest version of OS X Disk Utility in El Capitan, according to the folks at Paragon Software. Earlier versions of OS X allowed to easily format volumes in Disk Utility by implementing third-party file system drivers, but these functions are no longer available in El Capitan.

Paragon NTFS for Mac 14 makes intuitive data media formatting possible again. What’s more, the product now allows users to check the file system integrity of NTFS volumes and repair them, if necessary. Apple asks Supreme Court to dismiss ebook antitrust lawsuit

Apple has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn an appellate court decision that found the company conspired with five publishers to increase e-book prices, reports Reuters ( The Cupertino, California-based company wants the high court to review a June ruling that favored the U.S. Department of Justice, and found the company liable for engaging in a conspiracy that violated federal antitrust laws.

Reuters reports that Apple, in its petition, said the June decision by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York contradicted Supreme Court precedent and would "chill innovation and risk taking.” "The Second Circuit's decision will harm competition and the national economy," Apple wrote.

If upheld, the decision would force Apple to pay consumers $450 million under a 2014 settlement with 33 state attorneys general and consumers that was contingent on the company's...

Apple’s iPhone has 14 percent worldwide marketshare

According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics (, global smartphone shipments grew 10 percent annually to reach 354 million units in the third quarter of 2015. Samsung grew its smartphone shipments six percent and finally returned to positive growth for the first time in over a year.

Global smartphone shipments grew just 10 percent annually from 323.4 million units in the third quarter (Q3) 2014 to 354.2 million in Q3 2015, according to the research. This quarter was the smartphone industry's slowest growth rate for six years, since the depths of the global economic recession back in 2009. Smartphone growth is slowing due to increasing penetration maturity in major markets of the US, Europe and China.

Zevrix Solutions has announced Output Factory Server 1.2.3, a compatibility update to its output workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign.

Output Factory Server automates printing and exporting from InDesign by processing files from hot folders. Red Giant releases Trapcode Suite 13

Red Giant has released Trapcode Suite 13, an upgrade to its set of tools for creating motion graphics and visual effects in Adobe After Effects.

In addition to major updates to Trapcode Particular, Shine and Mir, the release introduces Trapcode Tao, a new plugin for generating 3D geometries along a path. The update also includes new features in Trapcode Form, Sound Keys and Starglow.
