The move come after the launch of Apple iMac (Fall 2009) Issues site. Here's how the site is described: "Some people ordering new Apple iMacs (fall 2009) have been experiencing issues such as cracked glass, flickering displays, yellow tinged screens, noisy screens, drive failures, etc. This site is an attempt to record and see how widespread these problems are and if there are any similarities (such as build date, shipping, etc.). The data presented here is based on information submitted by people on this web site or taken from comments posted in Apple's Discussion boards (this is an 'unscientific' survey and as such should not be considered representative of all iMacs sold). The vast majority of computers received by customers are problem free and this site is only meant to collect and present some common problems that users are experiencing.
Apple iMac (Fall 2009) Issues reiterates the Computerworld report that 27-inch iMac shipments are being delayed. It also says that the supersized iMacs have been delayed by two weeks as Apple is in the process of replacing the graphics card.
Our eval unit at Macsimum News has had no such issues. If you have a 27-inch iMac, dual or quad-core, tell me about your experiences by writing dsellers@macsimumnews.com
