AppZapper 1.7
Amsterdam, NL September 4, 2006 -- AppZapper.com announces the
release of AppZapper 1.7 for Mac OS X 10.4 and above.
AppZapper allows you to confidently uninstall virtually any
application, widget, preference pane and plugin as easily as it was
installed -- just drag and drop. AppZapper intelligently finds
leftover support files and allows users to put them in the trash with
a single click.
Mac OS X lets you install most applications with a simple drag to the
applications folder. Many people decide they don't want an
application and drag it to the trash. However, this does not remove
the extra preferences, caches, and other support files generated
during launch -- files that can sometimes be many times larger than
the applications themselves. AppZapper helps clean up these leftover
files, files that 99% of Mac users don't even know exist.
AppZapper 1.6 introduces exporting of apps and their related files,
for storing and transport on USB keys and other portable devices.

Control Your Cable Modem
San Francisco-- New Book Shows How To Control Your Cable Modem - In
the beginning there was dial-up, and it was slow; then came broadband
in the form of cable, which redefined how we access the internet,
share information, and communicate with each other online. "Hacking
the Cable Modem" (No Starch Press, September 2006,
http://www.nostarch.com/cablemodem.htm) goes inside the device that
makes Internet via cable possible and, along the way, reveals secrets
of many popular cable modems, including products from Motorola, RCA,
WebSTAR, D-Link, and more. The book's author, DerEngel, is regarded
in hacker circles as the foremost expert on cable modems.
Once described in the media as "a dangerously unemployed U.S. coder,"
the author now runs his own embedded development assembly business
that seeks to improve hardware by modifying and experimenting with
it. Sometimes dismissed as a thief or belittled as no better than a
virus writer, DerEngel's activities have drawn attention from the...

iPlanner
Fort Montgomery, NY, August 14 2006 - LutherSoft announces the
release of iPlanner. iPlanner bridges the gap between iCal and paper
systems, such as Franklin/Covey and DayRunner, allowing the user to
print their calendars and task lists directly onto their favorite day
planner layout.
Many people have longed for the ability to print from iCal even onto
a page that would fit into their day planners. iCal has been limited
in this area, and can't even print onto an 8.5 x 5.5 inch piece of
paper. iPlanner goes one step further. Not only can it print onto the
smaller page, but it positions the data to fit onto the pre-printed
day planner pages.
iPlanner is NOT a scheduling software of task manager. iCal does a
wonderful job of that. What iPlanner does is take the data from iCal
and reformat it to print onto a page purchased from Franklin/Covey or
DayRunner.
People love iCal, and their Macs, but most of them don't carry them
around with them to use as a task list and calendar book. Even...
