iWorm malware could still be a problem for some Macs
Apple's security technologies for Mac OS X may still miss iWorm, a piece of malware discovered in late September that infected thousands of computers, according to the IDG News Service (http://tinyurl.com/qxuhav8). It means that computers already infected with iWorm before the update would still be compromised, notes IDG. iWorm, which is a backdoor that can steal data from a computer, infected more than 18,000 machines, according to security company Dr. Web (http://tinyurl.com/k42z9kh). CVS and Rite Aid have long allowed contactless payments at their retail stores, but less than one week after Apple deployed Apple Pay, the large retail pharmacy chains disabled those system to prohibit the payment method. MetaEdit+ 5.1 brings graphical DSLs for collaborative development
MetaCase has released a new version of its Domain-Specific Modeling and code generation tool, MetaEdit+.  MetaEdit+ 5.1 is aimed at expert developers who want to empower their team to generate efficient, complete code directly from domain-specific models, says Dr. Juha-Pekka Tolvanen, CEO of MetaCase.   MetaEdit+ lets language engineers create graphical domain-specific languages and code generators. The new version offers collaboration for both language creation and use: multiple team members can define domain-specific modeling languages together and share them instantly to the whole team. In this way, domain-specific languages created by different language engineers can be integrated, tested and shared.   The new version provides updates to editors making modeling faster with in-place editing, hierarchical property sheets, movable ports, and reconnecting existing model elements. Language engineers also get new features, such as read-only and hidden model elements, new constraints and...

Fewer number of storage servers also reduces power consumption and headcount expenses associated with managing storage, resulting in lower operating costs, for a combined savings of up to 50%, he adds.
