Industrious One releases Musicality for Mac

Industrious One has created Musicality for Mac (http://getmusicality.com/). The $11 app is designed to “break your music out of the browser” and offer desktop conveniences like keyboard shortcuts, AirPlay streaming, and more to over a dozen of the world's most popular music services.

With it, you can play, pause, skip and rate songs on any supported music service. Musicality for Mac supports 15 music services to 15.

Musicality requires Mac OS X 10.10 or newer and an Internet connection. It may be downloaded as a free 10-day trial from the Musicality website. The demo is full-featured and unlocks in-place when purchased.

Cirrus Logic releases MFi Headset Development Kit

Cirrus Logic has released its MFi Headset Development Kit, a reference platform that is designed to help original equipment manufacturers quickly develop new Lightning-based digital headsets. It provides a complete high-performance, digital-headset solution and a reference iOS application to support the rapid development of these emerging consumer products, according to Carl Alberty, vice president of Audio Products Marketing, Cirrus Logic.

“The MFi Headset Development Kit demonstrates the advantages of Lightning-connected headsets over conventional analog headsets,” he adds. “For example, digital connectivity with an integrated, high-performance DAC and headphone driver delivers high-fidelity audio to the headphone speakers. In addition, Lightning-connected headphones can interact with an iOS app to create a more custom audio experience, such as personalized EQ settings.”

Focus Matrix is new task organizer for OS X

XwaveSoft has announced Focus Matrix 1.0, a smart task organizer app for Mac OS X. Its organizational system is based on the "Eisenhower Box," a productivity strategy created by U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower.

The app provides a priority matrix that breaks tasks down into four groups based on their urgency and importance. This lets you focus on the tasks that really matter, without getting caught up in those that can be delegated, or dealt with later.

PhoneRescue 3 allows 'rescues' from an entire iOS...

Mobie has launched PhoneRescue 3 (https://www.imobie.com/phonerescue/), an update to their iOS recovery solution for Mac OS X. The app can help users bring back 25 types of misdeleted, damaged or lost data files on an iPhone and iPad.

KeyCue 8.1 integrates with Typinator

Ergonis Software (www.ergonis.com) has rolled out KeyCue 8.1, an update of their keyboard shortcut cheat sheet. The upgrade integrates with Typinator, and allows Typinator users to quickly show snippets in a head-up display and insert them with a click.

KeyCue 8.1 requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later. The upgrade is free for anyone who purchased a license for KeyCue 7 on or after March 1, 2015. Upgrade paths are available for owners of older licenses. For new users the cost is $19.99 for a single user license and $29.95 for a family pack.

Tension Software introduces String Replacer 1.3.2 for Mac OS X

Tension Software has updated String Replacer for Mac OS X to version 1.3.1. The app allows users to find and replace a list of strings inside files and folders directly or in batch mode.

String Replacer lets you work on multiple files using a multiple string couple replacement list. It operates with just a single click or by using drag and drop. Version 1.3.1 is a bug fix release.

SuoerTab for OS X adds a Clutter Free Folders feature

SpriTec Software has upgraded SuperTab, its OS X utility, to version 2.1. It’s an app for enhancing and extending the Mac's built-in Command-Tab Application Switcher.

Version 2.1 introduces three new features that focus on the folder, including a "Clutter Free Folders" feature. It requires Mac OS X Yosemite or El Capitan.

AKVIS launches new plug-in for After Effects, Premiere Pro

AKVIS (www.akvis.com) has released AKVIS Sketch Video Classic plug-in 1.0 for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. The new filter comes in versions for Mac OS X and Windows and Mac OS X.

AKVIS Sketch Video Classic helps you convert videos into animated cartoons. You can apply a pencil drawing style to compositions and movies. The filter includes a number of ready to use AKVIS presets and gives a user control over the effects. The settings are fully configurable and can be saved as user presets.

Red Giant Universe expands with upgrades

Red Giant has launched Red Giant Universe 2.0, an update to the company’s GPU-accelerated plugins for editors and motion graphics artists. It packs more than 60 tools that run in Apple Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, HitFilm and Sony Vegas.

UCedge Softphone brings unified communications, mobility to OS X

Toshiba America Information Systems’ Telecommunication Systems Division has announced the availability of its new built-in softphone as part of an update to its UCedge client software available for Mac OS X.

Toshiba's UCedge softphone gives Mac users the ability to use their devices as extensions on their VIPedge, IPedge or Hybrid Cloud business communications solution. Using the softphone enhances the UC benefits, including presence and instant messaging with both internal and external organizations, said Brian Metherell, vice president and general manager of Toshiba’sTelecommunication Systems Division.

UCedge is compatible with Toshiba's VIPedge cloud-based business telephone solution, IPedge on-site Unified Communications system, and Strata CIX systems with an IPedge Application Server, as well as Toshiba's Hybrid Cloud solution.

Flexera Software (www.flexerasoftware.com) has updated AdminStudio Suite, a unified application readiness solution for packaging, virtualisation and management, adding Mac support along with that for Windows and mobile applications.

In addition, the company unveiled the latest release of Workflow Manager, a web-based end-to-end IT process management solution that tracks service-level agreements using out-of-the-box automation for change and asset management. AdminStudio Suite 2016 has added support for preparing Mac applications for reliable deployment to JAMF Software Casper Suite. AppDelete 4.2.6 improves the ‘Undo from Folder’ option

Reggie Ashworth has announced AppDelete 4.2.6 (http://tinyurl.com/ngg3ugq), an update to his application deletion utility for Mac OS X (10.7 and higher).

Via drag and drop, it can uninstall anything, along with all of the associated items. Mac users will no longer have to hunt through their system to find and delete these items manually. Version 4.2.6 improves the “Undo from Folder” option, and includes other fixes and improvements.

Counter is new counting utility for Mac OS X

Tension Software (www.tensionsoftware.com) has launched Counter 1.0 for Mac OS X. The app does one thing: it allows to count a discrete number of elements.

Using Counter you can solve any kind of situation where you have to computer enumerate a total number of elements (physical or abstract), and you want to be sure the process will be error free. You can add to the total a new unit simply pressing the space bar on your Mac to count it. Counter will keep track of the counting as it progress and will add +1 to the total at any space bar press.

AKVIS introduces the Sea Frame Pack

Troi Text Plug-in 4.0.1 released for FileMaker Pro 15

Troi Automatisering has released Troi Text Plug-in 4.0.1 for FileMaker Pro 15. The update is further optimized for use with FileMaker 15.

In this version Troi Automatisering made description and type-ahead information available for all functions of the plug-in. This extra function description will be shown in FileMaker Pro 15 in the Specify Calculation dialog box when you type a function name and also as a text popup in the functions pane on the right.
