Eurocomp has announced TimingApp 1.3 (http://timingapp.com/), an update ofits automatic time logging solution for Mac OS X. It's being offered for US$3.99 for a limited time in the Mac App Store (http://tinyurl.com/lmw7bv4) and requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or higher.

TimingApp 1.3 doesn't require users to manually operate timers. Instead, users' activities like editing documents, surfing the web, and playing games are tracked automatically and can be = reviewed at a later time. Troi Automatisering (http://www.troi.com/) has released Troi File Plug-in 6.2 for FileMaker Pro 12. It's a maintenance update that includes bug fixes and improvements.

Troi File Plug-in 6.2 works with FileMaker Pro 10, 11 and 12. The plug-in can also be used with runtimes from FileMaker Pro Advanced 10, 11 or 12. Parat Solutions has released the ParaSync i16 Universal Hub. It's designed to charge and synchronize up to 16 iOS, Android, iOS or Windows mobile devices that support USB charging. The i16 can also be mounted in an existing cart, cabinet, transport case or other enclosure.

ParaSync i16 is software neutral and works with third party mobile device management software, iTunes and Apple Configurator.  The device is "future proof" and adapts easily to new charging and synchronization requirements as future needs change, according to Peter Jauss, director of Sales at PARAT Solutions.

According to the "IDG News Service" (http://tinyurl.com/l2849pr), a Dutch court says Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 doesn't infringe on the iPad.

Apple's design right is valid but the protection it offers is very limited due to earlier similar designs, the court said. Apple has attempted to get sales of Samsung's Tab 10.1 banned in the Netherlands and the E.U., but lost two rulings in the Netherlands at lower courts in earlier stages of the litigation. Apple disagreed with the courts' decisions and decided to appeal the case with the Dutch Supreme court. However, the court dismissed the appeal.

This is all part of the ongoing, global legal battle. Apple and Samsung have filed more than 30 lawsuits against each other across four continents. For example, Apple alleges that Samsung copied the slide-to-unlock technology of its iPhone and iPad devices.

Apple has rolled out Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.06 for Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11 in Mountain Lion. The update adds support for RAW image files from 13 new digital cameras.

MPEG2 Works -- a Mac OS X tool for video formats re-conversion, encoding and manipulation -- has been revved to version 5.0.2. The upgrade offers improved DVD to QuickTime conversion, improved audio conversion and some minor internal fixes.

Adobe has announced updates to Adobe Kuler, a cloud-based application for making and exploring color themes. Announced at Adobe MAX, The Creativity Conference, the Kuler Web app has been revitalized.

The new website takes advantage of the latest Web standards to provide users with a richer experience when experimenting with colors. Additionally, the new Kuler iPhone app enables users to snap color inspiration on the go. Creatives can also now sync and immediately use their themes right in Adobe Illustrator CC, part of Adobe Creative Cloud.

The International Trade Commission said late Tuesday it would take a second look at an ITC judge's decision that Samsung had infringed one Apple patent for a text-selection feature in its smartphones and tablets, reports "Reuters" (http://tinyurl.com/o234kxb)

The ITC panel will also look at the judge's decision, made in March, that the South Korean company, which supplies some Apple chips, did not infringe a second patent which detects if a microphone or other device is plugged into its microphone jack, reports "Reuters." A final decision is due on Aug. 1.
